6 Simple Tips To Lose Weight Fast

Losing weight doesn’t have to be a struggle and it doesn’t have to take forever, even if you have many pounds to lose. Follow these simple tips that can put you on the path to weight loss you can sustain for years. Remember to get your mind set towards your goal because if that’s off, all of the action in the world isn’t going to help you slim down.

1. Go Green — Smoothie That Is

Green smoothies have become the trendy go-to health drink for losing weight and feeling great, and it’s easy enough to get on board with them. Low in carbs vegetables, such as spinach and kale, are the key to the lovely, unique green color of a green smoothie. This go-to smoothie comes in handy as a meal replacement or a between-meal filler if you start to get hungry before your next meal is scheduled. It’s dairy free, gluten free, and you’re getting potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, fiber, omega-3’s and healthy minerals all in one tasty beverage.

Recipe:
1 handful of fresh baby spinach
1 apple
1 banana
1 tsp flaxseed
1 cup coconut milk
Ice (if the weather is hot)

Put all ingredients into a blender and mix until smooth.

2. Play ball!

Sports are a reliable way to get your exercise without feeling like you’re actually getting any exercise. If the idea of going for a run or a swim doesn’t sound appealing, perhaps playing a game might be the key.

Sports can provide a social opportunity as well, especially if you join a team sport. It’s a great way to meet people or strengthen bonds with your existing friends as you both reach for a common goal or compete against each other in a friendly spirit.

3. Up And At ‘em!

Getting up and moving first thing in the morning can produce big effects when you’re trying to lose weight. Your muscles are at their strongest in the morning, making it a great time to lift weights. A morning workout sets the tone for the day and puts the body in fat-burning mode rather than fat-storing mode.

What you do for exercise doesn’t really matter, just as long as you get the body moving. You’ll also stop continually telling yourself that you need to workout. Going for a quick jog, doing some housework, or an easy Pilates routine are all good examples of what you can do to start the day off right.

4. Find A Fitness Partner

The right weight loss partner can make all the difference when it comes to losing weight, so it’s important to find the right one if you want to make the process fun and easy.

The perfect partner will be someone who has similar weight loss path and goals in front of them in terms of how much weight they want to lose. They’ll also be in agreement with you about the best way to get there when it comes to diet and lifestyle changes. They’ll be supportive and hold you accountable. You should also exhibit these traits and return the favor for them so it’s a mutually beneficial relationship.

The Wrong Partner
The wrong partner is one that has either far less or much more weight to lose than you do and does not agree with your ideas about getting in shape. You don’t want to bicker with them about methods for weight loss or reach your weight loss goals on different schedules.

5. Yoga

Yoga may be one of the best exercises for you when it comes to losing weight because it helps strengthen the body, helps you take conscious breaths, and has meditation at its foundation.

Although any form of yoga will assist you with your weight loss as it gets your body moving, there are a few poses that are helpful at speeding up your metabolism, building core strength, and getting your heart rate up. Try the Warrior Pose to help build lower body strength. The Standing Forward Bend helps flush your liver and kidneys, two important organs for weight loss and detox.

Set your own pace and take it slow. You don’t need to hold these poses long in order to get the benefits from them, but a consistent practice will make all the difference.

6. Eat Until You’re Content

One problem with the current concept of losing weight is the idea of eating less, or depriving yourself when it comes time to eat. This only sets you up for failure. If you do not eat until you are content, you’re just going to eat even more later.

However, trying to determine what content feels like can be a bit tricky, thanks to the amount of time it takes the stomach to signal to the brain that it’s full.

Confucius had a saying that translates roughly to “eat until you’re 80% full”. This is a way to stop yourself from overeating by giving your stomach time to signal that you’re full. Eating until you feel 100% full usually means you’ve eaten too much ; by the time you stop eating, it’s too late and you’ll feel like you overate. Many Okinawans in Japan follow this method of eating and have the highest number of people over 100 years old in the world.
