Mindfulness meditation offers us a way to feel clear and present even in the midst of hectic situations.
Science has proven that a regular mindfulness mediation practice creates significant changes in the brain. It brings stress relief, eases anxiety, improves sleep and helps us touch into our sympathy for others.
Come learn how to get started! Meditation instruction will be given, followed by a group sit.
Molly will provide a relaxed and encouraging atmosphere where discussion and questions are welcome. This class is open to everyone. There are many benefits to meditating in a group!
If you have a cushion or blankets please bring them but they are not a necessity! Many people sit in chairs to meditate (we have plenty). We also have a limited supply of cushions, and mats.
Molly McCarthy is a Usui Reiki master and a certified meditation teacher. She was trained to teach meditation by David Nichtern, senior teacher, in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage. She is currently a student in the 4th year of a four year training program studying Brennan Healing Science at the world-renowned Barbara Brennan School of Healing.
