Would you like to develop an understanding of what changes are happening in our neurology and nervous systems when we practice yoga and meditation?
Looking to apply some awareness of neuroscience to inform your practice and teaching of yoga?
Do you feel that understanding more about how to cultivate happiness and well-being from an anatomical perspective would inspire you?
If so, join us for Yoga and the Brain.
Learn the basics of what neuroscience is and how it can inform the practice of yoga. Through slides, short lecture, yoga practice, meditation, and personal exploration we will ground some basic understanding into our practice. We will focus on the theories of two renowned scholars in the field to apply practices that can enhance our happiness and well-being from a neurological standpoint. Plenty of time for questions and exploration will be offered. A reading list will also be provided. Enrich your understanding as you nourish your mind!
Our three hour advanced teaching workshops are intended to increase skills directly related to teaching groups, including ability to share and discuss the topic, lead experiential practices, and structure and sequence a yoga class.
This workshop is open to yoga teachers and practitioners, as well as counselors, energy healers and curious students.
