With Lisa Rockenmacher
The Bhagavad Gita is one of the oldest and most well-known texts regarding the path of yoga. It contains wisdom and guidance that offers insight to all seekers from all backgrounds. The story of Arjuna and Krishna reflects the relationship between limited and expansive consciousness and provides instructions on how each of us might expand our awareness through dedicated practice.
In this one-day retreat, we will explore the wisdom of the Bhagavad Gita with a special focus on what it teaches us about yoga and our approach to yoga practice. We will have an opportunity to identify and clarify our current yogic path and to clear the way for a deeper potency in our practice. We will review the history of the Bhagavad Gita, its cultural context and continued relevancy, and the general structure of the text. Through short lecture, guided practice, discussion, and meditation- we will each identify and garner the guidance and wisdom that is most resonant for our current needs.
A traditional, nurturing, vegetarian yogic lunch will be provided along with homemade chai and golden milk.
This workshop is open to all. No prior experience is needed.
In our time together, we will:
