Free Evidence-Based Holistic Health Education Program at Wilbraham Senior Center
The H.E.A.R.T. Program® (Health Empowerment and Real Transformation), created and instructed by Michelle Caron, RMT, CYT, local holistic health coach and herbalist, is an innovative holistic curriculum addressing the current health crisis. This holistic health education course is offered free of charge to all participants, who will learn methods to create a healthier lifestyle and improve their overall well-being using evidence-based research. It is instructed in eight two-hour modules. Classroom time includes lectures, food and exercise demonstrations, guest speakers, and a textbook that contains whole food, plant-based recipes, mindfulness techniques, herbal remedies, safe exercises for beginners, alternatives to taking pain medication, tips for healing the gut, managing weight, autoimmune diseases, elevated cholesterol, diabetes, hypertension, and much more.
This comprehensive, grant-funded program is back by popular demand and will be offered free of charge once again to local seniors at the Wilbraham Senior Center, with the class meeting dates of: October 1st, 8th, 22nd and 29th, November 5th, 12th and 26th and December 3rd. This program is also available to book throughout the region. Enrollment for this course in Wilbraham is limited, due to the space available, and will take place via a lottery of all those who have signed up through the Wilbraham Senior Center. The enrollment list is open now. Priority will be given to Wilbraham residents. However, all those ages 60 or older who are interested in attending and have not completed this program previously are strongly encouraged to call the Wilbraham Senior Center at (413) 596-8657 to register and be added to the list.
