September 26, 2019
08:30 AM until 04:30 PM

September 26–29

This training at the Center for Mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) uses mindfulness meditation and cognitive therapy to break the cycle of depression. Through role-playing, simulated classroom, and patient-practitioner encounters, we learn to apply mindfulness practices in teaching MBCT to clients. Throughout the training, the importance of the clinician’s own meditation practice and self-inquiry will be explored, especially around how to bring the self-knowledge gained through sustained meditative practice to bear on helping clients in emotional distress.

26 CE Credit Hours pending for psychologists, social workers and nurses.
