For girls ages 10-15 with their moms or other adult female caregiver/friend
This mini retreat is designed specifically for mothers and daughters to share quality positive time with one other. The 3 hour retreat will encourage mutual respect, bonding, communication, and trust through yoga!
Mothers (or another female caregiver) and daughters will practice yoga poses individually and together, learn yogic breathing practices, participate in themed discussions, and enjoy mindful games and activities. Participants will leave with healthy and practical ideas for practicing yoga and mindfulness at home. Pairs will receive a gift of a lavender essential oil roller ball to encourage relaxation and calm. No yoga experience is necessary. Please bring a journal or small notebook for each participant. We have mats at the studio for your use, but you are welcome to bring your own, please bring water for hydration.
Leigh works as a yoga therapist focusing her practice on helping those with anxiety and other stress-related mental health issues. She helps clients learn to become more comfortable with themselves, identify the best practices for each individual, and learn to create a sense of balance and ease to live a more fulfilling life.
