What is a vigorous yoga practice, and who can benefit from it?
With Marissa McAleer and Julie Rost
This workshop will explore a more physical practice of yoga and how it can be used to support various populations to help foster self-esteem, physical health, and personal empowerment. Populations that may be served by such a practice include, but are not limited to, persons with anxiety and depression, those suffering from chronic illness including cancer, persons with physical disabilities, and persons feeling disempowered or "stuck".
Learn to create a balanced, energetic practice to help serve specific populations and experience what a vigorous practice can look like and feel like in their own bodies, both in a chair and on the mat.
Therapeutic Benefits Workshops are intended to focus on the the health and wellness benefits of the practices and the personalization of practices for individuals and specialty populations. Open to all Yoga teachers and practitioners, as well as counselors, energy healers and curious students.
