Four week series for girls ages 11 and up with Leigh Sloss
This series of classes will focus on some of the most effective yoga and mindfulness skills for reducing stress and anxiety. In a safe and supportive environment girls will learn to tune into their bodies, minds and emotions for better self regulation and resiliency. Participants will learn centering practices, breathing techniques, gentle and nurturing yoga poses, guided relaxations and yoga nidra, a potent healing practice for relaxation. Essential oils, self-massage, journaling, art, and mindful games will be used to create a fun, engaging experience!
Greater compassion for oneself in order to have greater compassion for others will be the underlying theme of the classes! Girls will leave feeling empowered with essential life skills - self-care, compassion and the ability to deal with the challenges of school, home, and life!
Each girl will make and take home an essential oil roller ball! Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a water for hydration. Everyone is welcome and anyone can participate! No prior experience or knowledge of yoga is necessary. Come for the whole series, come for one class. Just come! Please wear comfy clothes, bring a water bottle.
Series dates: November 8, 15, 22 and December 6. There is no class on November 29.
