The galleries span centuries of trauma and triumph. But what sets this museum apart from other sites dedicated to Black history is its location. It is built on Gadsden’s Wharf— where tens of thousands of enslaved Africans first stepped foot in America.
The month of February dedicated to Black history continues to stir controversy. However, we can't continue to ignore the fact that although we have made progress towards racial unity, we still have ways to go towards racial harmony, understanding and tolerance, if not acceptance.
The newest rail trail in Massachusetts officially opened in late June, offering a fresh 4-1/2 mile pathway to explore on foot, bike, scooter or wheelchair. The Twin Cities Rail Trail was built on top of the former Fitchburg and Worcester Railroad.
