Whether we have inner work to do or are active in business or wider, community affairs, the potential for positive change is impressive. For ambitious folks, full attention is required. Time, money and other resources are most effectively used when applied with wise foresight and the intention of helping others.

Pluto’s pivotal visit to the last degree of pragmatic Capricorn continues until just before Thanksgiving. As is so often the case with Pluto, a spotlight is cast on abuses of power by leaders and entrenched hierarchies. In Saturn ruled Capricorn, patriarchal systems are faltering and new alliances are emerging. Pluto’s late autumn return to Aquarius is a harbinger of a more egalitarian distribution of wealth and power. The last time this specific Pluto sign change occurred was during the American Revolution. The American colonists were fighting to shed the English monarchy and succeeded while Pluto was in Aquarius.

The Sun In Libra

On the morning of Sunday, September 22^nd, the Sun enters Libra and fall officially begins. Along with the Gemini Moon and Pluto, the Sun forms a glorious grand trine configuration. These cooperating stars hold great promise. The grand trine bestows cleverness, resilience, and sophisticated social skills, qualities needed to face and overcome many current challenges. The Sun In Scorpio

After testing Pluto earlier in the day, during the evening of Tuesday, October 22^nd, the Sun arrives in Scorpio. The morning’s Sun/Pluto square can necessitate new strategies. Simmering partnership tensions could erupt. Nurture important ties. If it feels appropriate or necessary, include partners in your deliberations. Investment goals could also change. Much is in flux as the last quarter Leo Moon plays out on Thursday the 24th. That evening it is apparent the ongoing changes are for the better. Mars’ sextile to Uranus encourages rolling the dice and trying something new.

Mixed trends on Monday the 28th weigh some hearts down while others busily manifest their dreams. Under a waning Virgo Moon the long, engaging day is amazingly productive. Communications are tricky towards the end of October. Mental Mercury tests Uranus on the 30th, then harmonizes brilliantly with Neptune the night of the 31st. Hostilities may erupt as volatility continues into the weekend. We turn the clocks back an hour at 2am on Sunday, November 3rd. Mars arrives in fiery Leo late Sunday night, warming hearts and firing up passions. It isn’t until Monday the 4^th, that cooler heads and seasoned hands have the advantage. Optimism grows Monday evening. Moods are loving and celebratory. Tuesday the 5th, Election Day, plays out under a Capricorn Moon. Voters opt for long held values. Democracy prevails.

While the Moon is waxing, there are few major planetary alignments until Saturday, the 9th. The stressful first quarter Moon in Aquarius is in play just after midnight. The Sagittarius holiday season begins the afternoon of Thursday, November 21st. A potent solar sextile to Pluto inaugurates this new phase. The ability to consciously change, both inwardly and in our outer circumstances, is strengthened. Business meetings are productive. Successes are talked about and celebrated over Thursday dinner. Friday’s uneven trends require poise and patience. Concentrate on works in progress as well as mindfulness. Friday evening’s last quarter Moon in Virgo can put perfectionists and controlling types into overdrive. Resist the temptation of overthinking. It’s a good time to practice letting go.

Overactive minds need to decompress occasionally, and on the night of Saturday, November 23^rd, an earthy trine between the Virgo Moon and Venus in Capricorn provides a golden opportunity. The festive mood is ideal for self-care or a party. Enjoy friends, family, fine food, music and other arts.

The go-go dynamics on Monday the 25^th, support a productive day. Astrologically savvy folks may want to get an early start on their holiday journeys. Mental Mercury turns retrograde Monday night, just in time for some of the year’s busiest travel days. Double check flight schedules and be sure you have tickets and documents in order. Tuesday the 26^th, is also a favorable time to be on the move. Under the Scorpio Moon’s trine with Saturn, the Thanksgiving Day stars quietly nurture deep gratitude. The week of Monday, December 9^th, a waxing Moon sustains growing excitement. Monday and Tuesday are notably upbeat days. Agreements can be hard to come by on Wednesday the 11th. Be quick to compromise. Spirits remain enthusiastic as the weekend, with its Gemini full Moon, draws near. Before dawn on Sunday the 15th, the full Cold Moon is exact. Inclement weather is likely to be a concern in many parts of the world. Philosophical, political and religious beliefs may be divisive. Wise souls know to honor the universal truths that unite humankind. Post-full Moon moods are complicated. A solar square with Neptune during the morning of Wednesday, December 18^th, raises caution flags. Be alert to misunderstandings as well as potentially dangerous travel conditions. In fact, Thursday’s trine between Venus and Jupiter is a harbinger of all good things, love, prosperity, health and happiness. The trine is also favorable for travel and making new friends while in route.
