Top Five Tips For Enjoying The Natural Living Expo
If you are anything like me, you’ve been waiting patiently since November 14, 2022 for this year’s Natural Living Expo — a weekend chock-full of empowering workshops, incredible connections, and life changing opportunities for healthy living and healing. Yes, please!
Whether this is your first year attending or your 16th, here are my top five tips for leaving the expo empowered, full of new knowledge, and inspired to implement what you learned for the healthiest you ever!
1. Set an intention for the expo. This drives your experience and sets a target for what you’d like to walk away with. Write your intention down in your program guide or somewhere handy so you can remember it. To get clear on your intention ask yourself…
- If this expo was the most successful, inspiring, or helpful for me, how do I want to feel when it’s over? (For example, I want to feel spiritually empowered, clear on my next best healing step, excited about something new I learned or purchased.)
- What area of my life or issue would I like the most healing or new awareness around?
- How can I be open to receiving exactly what I need for my highest good and best next steps?
2. Take breaks. Because there is so much you will want to see and do at the expo, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. If that happens, take a break. You don’t have to rush through all the vendors. Browse the program guide ahead of time and mark the vendors and workshops that immediately grab your attention (that’s your intuition speaking!), then make it a point to get those places. Plan ahead to get the most out of your expo experience. If you start to feel too full of information or feel your energy dip, go outside and get some fresh air or try some delicious food from the vendors. You can also just find a seat and do some deep breathing or attend one of the guided meditations every hour.
The calmer and more present you are in your body, the more you’ll be able to absorb new information. This will allow your gut instinct and intuition to guide you to connect with exactly the right people and opportunities that match your intention.
3. Bring a journal or use your program guide. This is a great way to keep track of your takeaways from workshops, information from readings and healing sessions you want to remember, and any aha moments that happen from conversations. It’s also a great way to jot down notes of who you want to connect with after the expo.
4. Come with an open mind. The expo is an opportunity to discover the latest, most effective ways to heal yourself and live a healthy lifestyle — possibly even with things you’ve never heard of before. Sometimes the mind wants to discount things that are not familiar, but keeping an open mind provides the opportunity for you to receive exactly what you need, but perhaps didn’t even know you came to the expo for in the first place.
5. Come with friends. If you are coming solo, don’t let this stop you, but it’s fun to invite friends and family that are open to natural living and healing so you can compare notes and experiences. You could split up and attend different workshops, then share your takeaways while enjoying lunch and shopping together. Attend both days if possible (Sunday is free with your Saturday wristband!) because there’s always a booth you missed or want to go back to, and you get to attend an extra workshop or two. See you in November!
