A Gray Area
As I sit on the cusp of letting go of old patterns (and fading hair color), what emerges is a confidence and knowing that my decision is truly mine. No outside influence, no second guessing myself and no longer afraid to shine.

We often misunderstand or are confused by the tragedies of life because they make no sense to us. If we understand that we are unconditional love, we will look at situations differently, and accept that the only person we can control is ourselves.
In the 21st century, I imagine angels will by and large be what they have always been, but it is we who will be different. To see ourselves as angels see us, as fellow creative beings and potential partners, is a liberating gift and a challenge to our own self-images.
Spiritual practices don’t automatically generate a sense of wonder and harmony every time you use them. However, from what I’ve seen, even a short time spent in a state of awe and awareness using a spiritual practice can change your life in ways you might not have considered.
He very much surprised me by saying, yes, there was one best piece of advice, one most important thing across all the varieties of human pathology and suffering and achievement and relationship. So naturally, I asked what it was.
We see that we will leave this life without any part of our physical form, including opinions, beliefs, likes/dislikes. In that awareness, there is no separation. When the illusion of “other” falls away, compassion and love emerge, and the full light of source energy shines through us all.
Ask a question about any aspect of your being. What a gift that is for any soul willing to connect to spirit; ask the question and then allow the answer to come forth through your own hand.
Rather than viewing the body as a collection of isolated systems, chakra psychology examines how emotional experience, identity, safety, power, connection, and purpose are stored and expressed through the body's energetic and neurological centers.
Quiet courage can look like hesitation. It can look like doubt. It can even look like weakness. But sometimes it’s the difference between walking away from a room full of “chaos” and discovering a room full of brilliance.
I am weeding among the flower beds blooming amok with irises, nasturtiums, pink and purple anemones and California poppies when the siren — the first of many — shatters the repose. My body jolts upright, cellular memory reawakened from the terrible months after October 7th.
Nothing like this spring has been seen in generations. We are on the cusp of a reimagined world. On April 25th, Uranus returns to Gemini, a planet associated with progressive social movements, libertarian philosophies and cutting edge technologies.
We are powerful energetic creators sending out an energetic signal. The energy of the spoken word and of our thoughts sends out a unique energetic frequency to the universe. Be clear and precise with your request, then sit back and watch the universe create it for you.
I want to go back to the miracle of no longer enjoying blaming the past and identifying with my wound. Perhaps the exhaustion of being a victim for so many years left me immune, although saying this is unfair: I have worked throughout my life to stop being “my wound.”
The convergence of ancient wisdom and modern science points to one profound truth: The heart is more than a physical organ. It is the seat of our emotions, a center of communication, and a key player in our health.
The idea of quiet clean drones replacing noisy fireworks that leave a trail of toxic chemicals and paper behind is an idea whose time has come. However, we humans are slow to change, and nothing acts slower than government.
People who reported frequently encountering, commenting on or sharing political content online consistently exhibited the highest overall levels of political stress in our survey, compared with those who primarily consumed political information passively and without engaging.
At seventy-eight, I carry more gratitude than certainty that nonviolence will prevail, yet I live with the unshakable conviction that violence, its alternative, must be resisted, especially during this tumultuous period in American history.
Though long out of print and now a work in the public domain, the wisdom in the stories from "Rainbow Boy" are as timeless and essential as the spirit of change itself. Read the back story of how a character in "Rainbow Boy" is the namesake for Spirit of Change Magazine.
Information arrives fast, loud, and fragmented. It’s designed to grab attention, provoke reaction, and then make room for the next thing. Wisdom, on the other hand, moves slowly. It requires context, memory, and a willingness to hold competing truths in the mind.
We are long past making sure no one’s feelings get hurt when it comes to really digging into what is happening to our children. We have important work to do — work that can only be done by grown-ups willing to take full responsibility for what they are bringing to the table.
We’re trained to distrust enough, to see it as settling, complacency, or as the enemy of ambition. But for most of human history, enough wasn’t a failure state: it was a goal. Enough meant survival with dignity, security without hoarding.
The eighth chakra for animals is their ecosystem, their morphic resonance, their own field of energy connected to the bigger field. In many ways, the eighth chakra represents the home of instinct that we humans have dulled.
Personal growth isn’t meant to feel like a life sentence. It’s meant to support us in becoming more whole, present, and alive. If you’ve been feeling tired of “working on yourself,” it doesn’t mean something has gone wrong.
Chinese cosmology and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) uses a combination of animals and elements to describe how energy moves and expresses itself over time.
