Natural Living Expo a Success in Sturbridge!
5th Annual Natural Living Expo already? The years fly by and each annual event grows exponentially thanks to the positive word-of-mouth reviews that our attendees and exhibitors share. Despite the forecasts for a wash-out weekend, the sun prevailed and illuminated the Sturbridge Host Hotel & Conference Center to create a shining event full of sparkle and wonder resulting in amazing connections, spectacular memories and much excitement for the 6th Annual Natural Living Expo. It gets bigger and better each year!
An opening fire circle on Saturday morning set the intention for a successful and health-filled weekend for the more than 6000 people who were part of the event throughout the weekend. At 9am we started out with hundreds of people at registration who were ready for workshops, shopping, sampling, raw food demonstrations and more. The first 200 people in line (both Saturday and Sunday) received a free Honest Tea gift bag. After purchasing tickets (or picking up for those who reserved in advance) they explored the 135 exhibits in two halls and charted their day for the 75 workshops in five workshop halls throughout the hotel plus the very popular Free Sample Bar featuring more than 30 natural brand samples and coupons! Saturday ended with a lake-side drum and fire circle as the sun set and cast a gorgeous pink glow across the lake.
It was exhilerating to see the line at registration that was non-stop until 1pm on Saturday — just amazing to see the continuous flow of people who came to Sturbridge to be a part of the Natural Living Expo community. The positive energy and intentions of the event are evident to everyone who takes part. Thank you to all our exhibitors, staff, volunteers, speakers and attendees who make the event what it is — New England's largest holistic event and one of the best in the country.
Through the "Voice Your Choice" donation program at registration, $1 of every paid admission was donated to one of 3 causes: Maple Farm Sanctuary in Mendon, MA; the ACAM Midwife Center in Concepcion, Guatemala; and The Harding Fund tornado relief for Brimfield, MA residents to offset damage incurred in the June, 2011 catastrohpe. Since beginning the donation program, over $10,000 has been contributed to community programs thanks to all those who have attended the expo.
