Spring 2026 Astrological Forecast

Nothing like this spring has been seen in generations. We are on the cusp of a reimagined world. On April 25^th, Uranus returns to Gemini. The last time Uranus was in Gemini was during the WWII era. The time before that coincided with the United States Civil War and the time before that with the American Revolution. It was in 1781, during the Revolutionary War, that Uranus was first discovered. Astrologers soon viewed the new planet as a bellwether for the evolutionary forces of that era. Western civilization underwent profound transformation. Modern democracies were established. Agrarian societies evolved into industrial power houses. Cities swelled to accommodate factory workers and their families. Ever since, Uranus has been associated with progressive social movements, libertarian philosophies and cutting edge technologies.

Adding to today’s sense of impending change is the presence of Neptune in Aries, a transit that most recently coincided with the beginning of the Civil War, the moral crusade to end slavery in the United States. Add Pluto to the list of change agents. Now visiting Aquarius, its previous stay saw both the American and French Revolutions. Make no mistake, this is a time of reckoning. The direction our country is taking now and in the future is at stake. Let’s not forget the significant developments that each of the preceding eras produced. Advances in politics and warfare were equaled by advances in social awareness.

In the Revolutionary period our nation was formed on a series of hard won compromises between the free and slave states. During the Civil War it was ripped apart, only to be forcibly reunited. Increasingly effective weaponry outpaced military strategies, leading to the massive number of casualties. World War II saw horrific new levels of mechanized warfare and ended with the first use of rockets, jet propelled planes, and the atomic bomb. Antibiotics were introduced, saving countless lives but millions more were lost. Before Uranus left Gemini, the postwar era saw the birth of the United Nations, the rebuilding of Europe and a divisive Cold War.

Above it all, the planets have sailed on, influencing but indifferent to the affairs of humankind. The same transits that brought Hitler and Stalin to power also enabled Franklin D. Roosevelt to assume the presidency. Each person has a choice in how they use the available energies. Our generation has the advantage of knowing what has gone before us. We are the ones who will determine the future course. Let’s make it a good one, for all life on planet Earth.

The Sun In Aries (March 20-April 18)

The Sun enters Aries and Spring begins on the morning of Friday, March 20th. The eventful spring equinox marks the beginning of a new zodiacal year, and is one of two times annually when the forces of daylight and darkness are equal. Like the delicate balance of a seesaw on a children’s  playground, the cosmic equilibrium is fleeting and will not last even a handful of days. Friday afternoon sees Mercury’s return to forward motion. A stalled project could gain new life or a lofty goal might come into focus. Expect hearts and minds to also be fickle. Patience is called for.

The newly minted Aries Sun joins Neptune, Saturn, Venus and the Moon in the ardent first sign. It is an Aries party! Sign ruler Mars is moving into an engaging and uplifting trine to Jupiter. The festive atmospherics are undeniable as the weekend arrives. Enthusiasm remains vigorous throughout the first few days of the new season. Dream life may be active and consequential around the time of the Sun’s Sunday morning conjunction with Neptune.

During the predawn hours of Wednesday, the 25th the Sun conjuncts Saturn while the two align with resourceful Pluto. The configuration promotes thoughtful, resolute decisions. Wednesday afternoon’s first quarter Cancer Moon reinforces the will to make significant changes. Mellower trends take hold as Wednesday afternoon gives way to evening.

The late March skies are dominated by Saturn’s sextile with Pluto. The aspect is exact during Saturday evening, March 28th. Perceptions are sharpened. Trust your instincts. Themes of power, commitment, survival and letting go impact many lives. Self-assured inner knowing provides transformative guidance.

Pranksters relish hyperactive Wednesday, April 1st. The dramatic full Pink Moon in Libra opposes the Aries Sun, Saturn and Neptune. Weather permitting, the dramatic moonrise is followed by a resounding crescendo after dark. Exuberant Jupiter in Cancer challenges the opposing planets. Be ready to chart your own course. By midnight the dust begins to settle. People have much to think and talk about during the following days. Mixed trends on Friday the 3rd stimulate fascinating conversations. Even so, certain partnerships may struggle. Abide by the Golden Rule and do your best to minimize friction late in the day.

A Sunday evening conjunction of Mars and Saturn is the final major aspect of Aries season. In astrology, timing is everything and this pairing requires the wise use of time as well as energy. Wednesday, April 22nd is Earth Day. The Cancer Moon’s splendid evening conjunction with Jupiter spotlights the joys of everybody’s true home, our blue planet. The good vibes spill over into Thursday the 23rd. Venus’ love at first sight conjunction with Uranus stirs hearts. From first teenage flirtation to decades long marriages, in friendships and peer groups, loving ways add magic to ordinary moments. As midnight nears the Leo Moon tests the Taurus Sun. This first quarter Moon phase could coincide with a change of strategy.

Saturday, April 25^th features two significant events. The first, a tense midday Sun/Pluto square aspect, requires sensitivity towards partners. Cooperation can be elusive but do what you can to be a team player. Be wary of those whose actions exceed their authority. At dusk, Uranus leaves Taurus and enters capricious Gemini. Who controls wealth and power, and for what purposes, are natural concerns. Common sense values and the responsible use of resources are encouraged by Venus and Saturn. Debates will be lively during the ensuing post full Moon days as Mars nears a testing square with Jupiter.

During the evening of Wednesday, May 20th the Sun begins its month-long stay in Gemini. By Friday the 22^nd, Sol is conjunct inventive Uranus. Boats rock, earthquakes can be literal or figurative. Sensory overload is another possibility. Restless souls and revolutionary spirits feel tempted to wander on the wild side. Fortunately, a grounding sextile between Mercury and Saturn encourages level-headed folks to stick with routines, unswayed by current controversies. The Memorial Day holiday weekend, the unofficial start of summer holiday season, has begun.

The early Saturday morning hours feel hectic under the first quarter Virgo Moon. Mid-morning is more suitable for getting started on a project, picnic or a journey. The social climate and enjoyment factors improve by midday. Trends remain favorable through Monday, May 25th. However, Monday night travelers are under the auspices of a tricky Mars/Pluto square. The power of the waxing Moon takes hold as the final weekend of May nears. The culminating moment is reached before dawn on Sunday, May 31^st with the full Blue Moon in freedom loving Sagittarius. Hopes are high. Adventures are likely. Travel, whether physical, intellectual or spiritual, is enticing.

Like the weather, Gemini season often feels light and breezy. Moods swing easily from one interest to the next. Summer is fast approaching. On the evening of Tuesday, June 3rd the Sun’s sextile to Saturn adds a note of serious intention. Under a Capricorn Moon this is a superior day for tackling demanding chores. The very next day Mercury’s square with Neptune directs attention away from practical matters. Metaphysics, escapism and daydreaming can all be alluring. Imagination may be unrealistic, or faulty information could lead to confusion.

The evening of Monday, June 9^th is fabulous for socializing. The celebratory atmospherics carry over into Tuesday afternoon when Venus conjuncts Jupiter in Cancer. Hearts feel full. Generous gestures, fortunate news, a possible financial windfall or a delightful meeting occurs. Moods dampen late that night when Mercury is at odds with dour Saturn.

The mellow weekend of June 13th and 14th offers a timely opportunity to rest up and recharge batteries. Venus enters fun-loving Leo Saturday morning. This is strictly a play and relaxation day. Sunday night’s Gemini New Moon is the Cosmos’ green light for all new ventures. Venus charts a busy course from Monday the 15th through Wednesday the 17th with aspects to Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. These are unifying trends, bringing couples and groups of people closer together. Venus’ Wednesday afternoon opposition to Pluto requires finely tuned social skills. Caring and compassion can lead to increased trust and intimacy. Power trips will quickly alienate. The last few days of Gemini season are quiet, but rest assured, with the Moon now waxing the pace and dramatic content of life will soon pick up.
