A Happy New Year Forecast For 2023
Major planetary realignments for 2023 are encouraging while others are quietly reassuring.

2023 sees major planetary realignments. Challenging patterns we’ve been stuck in will break down. Coming celestial trends are encouraging while others are quietly reassuring. The stars will ask us to be more forgiving, cooperative and considerate. Many souls will soon forge new ties and move boldly forward with greater confidence. Regardless of your sign, there’s something good in store for everyone. Here are some highlights.
The first aspect of 2023 is a New Years Day conjunction of Venus and Pluto. The pairing can be an omen of greater intimacy, healing, or a redistribution of wealth and power. It may also bear out the old adage, love conquers all. The Moon is waxing full, reaching her climactic full stage on January 6th. Uncertainties are easing but before we get to the year’s true goodies many of us have lingering issues to deal with. Mercury, Mars and Uranus are retrograde as January begins. By the end of the month they’ll all be in forward motion. Bide your time. Mars turns direct on the 12th, Mercury on the 18th and Uranus on the 22nd. The way will then be clear for big changes. Three major planets, Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto are on the move into new signs this year.
Jupiter spends the first four and a half months of 2023 zipping across fiery Aries. Jupiter in Aries is a breath of fresh air, a life-giving transfusion, a jolt of energy. Apply the raw energy of desire and move boldly towards your goals. Set a good example, and you may be surprised to see others following your lead. Then in May, just in time for warmer weather, the giant planet of optimism and prosperity sets up shop in Taurus, the grounding sign of wealth and values. This is the cosmos’ invitation to enjoy the fruits of the good earth. Savor creature comforts and pleasures of every description.
After two and half years testing the mettle of people around the world, especially stubborn souls with fixed sign planets, Saturn, the esoteric Lord of Karma leaves Aquarius and moves into Pisces on March 8th. Saturn in Pisces tests our ability to relate to our own insecurities as well as the suffering of others. Ultimately, we must love, trust, remain empowered and find ways to rise above emotional pain. From a place of detachment we can more easily realize our hopes and dreams.
Nearing the end of a fourteen year stay, Pluto exits Capricorn on March 24th and begins to transition into Aquarius. Pluto in Aquarius energizes groups of people coming together in service of the common good. Deals will be struck, compromises will be made. It helps to bear in mind the commonalities that unite us rather than the differences that divide people. Working as one, much can be accomplished. Powerful evolutionary and revolutionary changes are under way this coming spring.
