Three Tips To Boost Your Intuition

Everyone can be highly intuitive. There is no exception to this because intuition is a part of your biology. If you want to improve your intuition skills you will need to exercise your intuition. Intuition exercises are the quickest way to build your mastery. The key to success is knowing the right way to exercise. Here are three characteristics of a good intuition exercise.
1. A good intuition exercise has a trigger that your intuition can respond to. The simplest trigger is to ask your intuition a question. Asking your intuition a question is a good trigger since it will always respond with an answer. The intuitive thought is short, specific and distinct, and provides a definitive next action step to take. Non-intuitive thoughts are random, vague and changing all the time.
2. A good intuition exercise has results you can validate. Pick a question where you can validate the answer and repeat the results. The kind of question you ask is the key to your success here. An example of a poor intuition exercise question is, “What do I need in my life right now?” or “What is that stranger over there thinking?” You can’t easily or definitively validate the answer to these questions.
Try asking your intuition to tell you what your husband bought for lunch today. You can validate the answer later by asking him. Another good intuition exercise is to use your intuition to get information about a news headline. For example, “Three Teenagers Cause School Cafeteria to Close. News at 11.” You can ask your intuition about that news story before you see it, such as the gender of the three teens, what happened, where the school was located, and so on. Then you can watch the story at 11 to validate.
3. A good intuition exercise is simple and neutral. When you exercise your intuition use questions that are simple and not laden with heavy emotional meaning. Questions such as, “Should I move to another city?” or “Should I find another job?” are not good intuition exercise questions because they are complex issues and you can’t validate your answers.
Instead, when you are out walking or driving, exercise your intuition by asking your intuition to predict where the person in front of you will go. Right, left, straight ahead? Use your intuition to “see” where they are no longer in front of you. Or the next time you want to know the time, before looking at a device, use your intuition to pick up on what the time is, then check your results.
Give yourself a chance to build your skill. Develop your own favorite intuition exercise and then keep practicing it!
