A woman's most powerful and creative energy comes from her root. Wild Feminine is a guidebook for holistic pelvic self-care and body awareness. Women's health physical therapist Tami Lynn Kent introduces simple visualizations, rituals and hands-on techniques to reconnect women with ancient feminine medicine. The top of the pelvic bowl is the pelvic crest (sometimes incorrectly called the hips). The bowl then moves down to the pubic bone, and up and around to the sacrum. The area encompassed in this bowl is a powerful base of spiritual support. By visualizing and massaging areas of the pelvis, emotional, physical and ancestral energetic blocks are cleared. Exercise also releases stagnation and energizes the pelvic bowl: after prolonged sitting, stand and squeeze root muscles, perform hip circles and then shake out the pelvis by rapidly bending up and down at the knees, tapping all around the pelvis. Finally, visualize aligning heart and bowl, bring in light energy, and affirm core radiance. — Reviewed by Gail Lord
